OWLA observations and rouge

Strange,
My OWLA is a very hybrid version.
It has from one type : the black exposure counter disc and the cocking
(slide) lever .From the other type : the advance/rewind switch and the round
focussing knob between the lenses.
The X/F lever has been discarted and the hole closed with a rubber lid.
I guess at a point, it was synchronised for both options in the same way as
the realist etc. Compared to the models in the Werner Weiser book mine has a
very high serialnumber and must be a late version.

Why would it be a collecor camera rather then a user camera ? I'm using it
now and I find it a small, very convenient camera. It doesn't have double
exposure prevention or rangefinder but has a bubble level. I don't know
about the optics since I haven't seen the results yet.

A few months back a few people mentionned "rouge" to polish lenses.
Were can you get it ? How do you use it ? Is it suitable to remove scratches
from a lenscoating ? Can it remove the damaged coating all togeather ? Can
lenses be recoated ? My Belplasca (remember) has apparently worn and
scratched coatings. I allways assumed there was dust between the lens
elements. Now I noticed whetting the coating with lens cleaning fluid makes
them look like new. As soon as the fluid has dried the "cloudyness"
reappears.:-(

Thanks.
Patrick.
