Fading

I attended an exhibition in Boston a couple of weeks ago; it was for the 
electronic prepress industry. While there, I saw a demo of a product called 
Monoco Color. This is a Photoshop plug-in which can 'fix' color problems. It is 
meant for fixing the color shifts which occur in scanning and printing, but it 
appears to be well suited to fixing color fading problems as well. One 
interesting aspect is that it can run in an automatic mode, which makes it easy 
to use without any knowledge of color spaces.

While watching the demo, I watched the software take images which had color 
problems reminding me of fading, and made them colorful and vibrant.
