P.S. - I suspect that one also could buy twin'ed XA2 rigs that look great
and work great from Mike W. if he's still in that business (??).
De-corrected into 1955 dollars, his price is "almost free". :-)

I haven't exactly been turning people away... :)

Interest in them seems to come in strong cycles. Lately, I've had lots of
"interest" but none strong enough to actually buy one of the damn things.
:) Course, I haven't really been pushing them. To be honest, it's gotten
kinda dull putting them together. :)

My next goal (haven't had time to even crack the cameras) is to try making
a decent siamese stereo camera. I've got ONE I made from a pair of $5
Argus C3's. It works tollerably well, but I haven't taken time to fine
adjust the thing so the exposures are right. Lenses for it (interchangable
35/50/100mm) should be just as good as an average 50's stereo camera.
I'd LIKE to try building one either from a pair of XA-2's (doubtfull after
checking the guts) or a pair of Olympus RC-35's. If the RC-35's could be
made to work, the result would be like a FED but with a full metered manual
mode (the way the thing should have been from the beginning). I figure I
can probably mechanically link the shutter/apeture and focus. Rigging the
1:3:1 advance is always the tricky bit though.
