Well, youse guys wish is my command (at least in *this* case :-)

I just stuck together a perl script which keeps the poster's name
intact, but prepends P3D onto it so you can tell it's from the 
mailing list.

However, note that the list has *never* used the poster's address 
as the reply target - this setting is completely disconnected from
this particular "from" line, IF your mailer is conformant to the
RFC 822 specification (that is, it observes the "replies-to" header).
If it is not conformant, then you may indeed see a difference in the
reply target.

This is a tricky piece of parsing since there are numerious mail
formats - it'll probably need some further refinement, especially
if you have some kind of weird mailing address. Everything of the form
of the address whoami@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx should be ok...
