Read John Waldsmith's book Stereoviews, page20. His recipe for albumen,
pre-1890, stereos works well. Best not to get water anywhere near turn-
of-the-century gelatin silver.  I've seen great views ruined with water, 
and very quickly! If you intend to sell the stereoview, let the new
owner decide about cleaning.
