Oops. In the light of the latter I realize my recent REVERE joke could be
interpreted as downright sexist. :-). Frankly I'd prefer to be accused of
bad taste ! Sexism never ! So, feel free to replace "Plaboy" by "Playgirl"
and all the "she's" and "her's" by "he's" and "him's". My REVERE can beat
any Chippendale in the "good looks" department. ;-)
Serious, are there any other people around here, who also have a weak-spot
for fifties aestethics ?
My 3D-obsession aside (dates from looooong before I knew there even existed
something like a stereo-camera and only knew VM vieuwers), I love my
camera's for their look. We had people who are only interested in them to
make pictures (the users) and those who want as many as possible or as rare
as possible (the collectors). Few mentionned their "look". I think the're
beautifull examples of industrial design. True works off art in their own
right. Other people are crazy about cars or juke-boxes but how many people
can afford to collect or store those. I actually used to have a Seeburg
(Chicago) juke-box which I sold again because I considerd it had every right
to be completely renovated, which I at the time couldn't afford. So I sold
it again. Snif. <:-(
