Yes - I've heard from several people using pine that it drops the
header line - it should not do that. 

Be that as it may - the current incarnation looks like it's working
reasonably well (I had a small problem because I ran into some
mail addresses with dashes and underlines which I hadn't expected, but
that is fixed now).

An advantage to *this* format (at least on MY mail reader) is that even
if someone does not have a "handle" ID set in their mailer, the display
of the FROM is not completely blank, but at least has the P3D notation...

Incidentally, we were cut from the network for about 8 hours today, so
the server is now working to catch up.
