I feel the same way about my VM MarkII. One of the main reasons I
chose it over the Personal is because it looks so cool...very sleek and
'futuristic' (in a kooky late 50's kind of way). Actually, aesthetic
appeal is probably the main driving force behind my collecting VM viewers.
Yes, I am interested in the history and trying to have a collection that
represents the evolution of the product, but I do have a few holes which
are based on the fact that I don't like the particular model (be it color,
design, or material). I have a feeling the holes will still be there till
someone just gives me the darn things. Even then, I'll only bring them out
when that person visits.
