I am reposting this for those in Digest Mode who did not get to see it...

Congratulations to Martha and George! ;)
The guests took all the awards I see... (Sorry Mike K.) ;) ;)

I sent "fresh" slides that I would hesitate to enter in Detroit or in PSA
events because of the intense competition. I am glad to see that they did
well... One slide (first place) was taken at home with an SLR recently...
The other two were Realist slides that I happened to like. There was a
comment on how long it takes to mount slides in aluminum mounts and glass.
It took me more time to come up with a title and print labels, than mount
these slides...

My check for $10 is in the mail... This kind of open-mindness for a stereo
club is remarkable and in sharp contrast to another club (let's not get
personal here...) which restricts its membership to 100 miles... As I have
said in the past, stereo clubs offer a great service to the stereo
community. These clubs are very few and most people do not have access to
one. While it is true that members get the most benefits by attenting the
monthly meetings and participating in various club functions members, long
distance members can also contribute by bringing new ideas to slide
competitions, sending articles to the newsletters, etc.

To the officers & members of the Cascade Stereoscopic Club a BIG Thank You!

George Themelis, stuck in Cleveland OH.
