CASCADE STEREOSCOPIC CLUB

The latest meeting was held on Saturday, March 30 with about 40 people
attending. Among the highlights was a presentation by Peter Abrahams of
his 3-D X-Rays of shells. Peter explained the procedure and showed several
of his large film pairs. These were rear illuminated and a large stereo
viewer was provided for viewing. Some of the members of course could also
free view the negatives.

The bulk of the time was used for the slide competition. 10 people,
including 3 from this forum who responded to my invitation some time ago,
submitted 3 slides each. Three members, including John Dennis, NSA editor,
were judges. Results follow:

First place:  George Themelis

Second place:  George Themelis

Third Place:  Martha McCann

Inviting members on this forum to participate in competitions or regular
screenings  proved to be a successful experiment. The members also approved
a suggestion that any person, regardless of geographic location of
residence may join the club for the usual $10 in annual dues. For more

Next meeting will take place on April 30th, 1996.
