Thanks for bringing this up.
What seems to have been the schedule in years past is that Thursday
(August 1 this year) is kind of the unofficial gathering day. While
not part of the Convention per se, it serves as a time for friends to
meet and catch up with each other before the official activities
commence.
Thursday evening also begins the "room-hopping" so popular at past
conventions, where many of the dealers open their rooms to for
attendees to browse and where some great deals on equipment may be had
in a more personal and relaxed setting than the bustle of the Trade
Fair (or it's where all the dealers get together and buy up all of each
other's "good stuff" at super low prices to resell at super high prices
during the Trade Show, depending on whom you listen to).

Friday, Saturday and Sunday (August 2, 3 and 4) are the days for which
you register. These are the days for the Stereo Theater Programs,
Workshops, Auction, Trade Show and Banquet, as per the previously
posted schedule.

Monday's tour is an extra, for those staying in the area after the
Convention is officially over.

Best Regards,
Bill Davis
