REVERE OPERATION
- From: P3D Paul S. Boyer <boyer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Bill <bsharp@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> writes about his newly acquired
Revere 33, with some questions about its operation. In answer:
1. The little switch on the back is, indeed, a parallax correction
mechanism. The difference is there, although not too noticeable by
eye.
2. To rewind, turn the exposure-counting dial (under the winding
knob) so that the area labelled "R" is by the marker. That frees the
winding mechanism.
The Revere is an excellent camera, and very sturdy. The Wollensack
is built on the same frame, but with better lenses: it is far, far
less common, and quite expensive.
