We'd *really* have problems and grumblings about getting proper alignment of
the three chips in a triad mount  (to make the window acceptable, etc).  

Film would also cost more on a per-image basis, not to speak about an even
higher ratio of 3D to 2D costs (three linked lenses, shutters, etc).  Imagine
the cost of a triplet RBT camera.
