Well, I'd think you'd get the biggest advantage (increase in
accuracy of stereo) if they were non-colinear. Maybe a
triangular arrangement would be best. Though for other purposes
it might be best to put it on the back of the head....On the
down side, anaglyphs would be much more difficult to construct.
You'd need to have filters that were narrow-band enough to
exclude the images that were meant for the other two eyes...
