Dear Fellow 3-Ders,

After many months of lurking, and gaining much wisdom of
all things stereoptical, may I humbly introduce myself to this
august community. My name is Ed Bell and I am an actor by trade,
and a stereo visual arts patron by avocation.
Not to beat a dead thread but,
I am a "collector" of 3-dementional images and the apparatus
to display them,
I am a "user" of Realist and more recently VM format cameras.
And I am a , yes , sometimes "double dealer".
That is to say I have sold items that are doubled in my modest
collection,at what I hope is a fair price.
So add it all up and put me down as an "enthusiast".
I thank all the contributing members of the list for the sharing
of their knowledge, and send special thanks to those brave few who
operate and manage the list. 3-D Cheers all round!
Now, if I may,a collecting question.
Recently in a collectables mall I came across a lighted viewer,
shaped something like the first generation Talking View Master.
It was made of black plastic and seemed to use the Tru View type
rectangular slide picture cards.
The markings said "GM Photographic Department"
And a note from the seller said it was used to preview automobile
interiors and paint color options.
I had never seen nor heard this before.
How rare are these and can the cards for them be found?
Many thanks for any info.

P.S. If we had three eyes we would get many fewer slide sets
       per roll of film! :=}
