Eyes on stalks

I don't think that having eyeballs on stalks would suck.
because of the danger of damage to eyes and stalks.
heck, I'm 6ft tall, do you know how many lumps I've had on the head from
my parents obsession with hanging plants? *Bonk* *Ouch* !!!

Maybe if they were made of some hard, repairable crystal instead?

another point is that "3D" may not be what is seen? perhaps a different type
of depth all together, but it really depends upon the setup of the brain.
putting 8 speakers on a surround sound system that really caters for a full
seperate 8 tracks would be fine, but putting 8 speakers on a mono system...
well, it might sound better, but that would be all.
the same goes for optics. :)
