I suspect most stereo-photographers also collect views, at least to
some limited extent. For one thing, we save at least some of our own
photographs. For another, many people got interested because of
View-Master and things like that, and so probably retain some interest
in the original medium. I know I collect V-M reels partly because of
childhood memories, and partly just because the work is usually
masterful, and I enjoy looking at them. I'm always interested in
getting more scenic/travel reels.

I also have a Holmes-style viewer and an extremely modest (6)
collection of view for that. I used to see big boxes of views for $1
or $2 at flea markets, so I finally decided to get a viewer. Once I
did, of course, I stopped seeing the boxes of cards around.

I find View-Master to be the most convenient format, and, with a good
viewer, capable of very good quality images. If I ever expand beyond
Realist for my own work, it might be into View-Master format. This
leads to a question: Which of the two "systems," the Personal or the
Mark II, do people recommend?

Thanks very much.
