Re Sanyo 3D TV
I also saw the programme Technophobes guide to the future on 17/4/96 .
Having heard that there was to be something about 3D TV on the radio going
home I did not catch what the programme was but later guessed it could be
this one so I videoed it while I watched something else. The glasses did
not look like pulfrich effect to me as both eyepieces were the same
neutral density shade and they were quite large and bulky. One of the
viewers thought the weight of them on the bridge of the nose would be
uncomfortable after a while so thet seemed to be wireless LCD glasses. The
little boy watching commented that they sometimes went wrong and the
picture went fuzzy. But as phil spooner said the only snatches that we saw
of what they were watching was in constant movement like pulfrich effect
movies. In fact although they said that the viewers would not get the
effect without the glasses I found there was a sensation of depth in what
they were watching probably due to the movement. I will examine my
videotape more closely tonight for more evidence. P.J.Homer
