How come you only fiind Revere Lens Boards?

I was told by a camera repair person, who shall remain nameless at 
this time, that a lot of defective Revere lens boards wound up on the 
market.  They are obscurely labelled as such.  Turn over the board and 
look for a red x.  If it has a red x on the back, it is a factory 
reject.  I bought one a few years ago for five bucks.  It looks like 
new, but has a red x, just like the guy said.  Any offers?
