Diffusion for viewer

After fruitless searching from Graphic arts suppliers and plastics
suppliers, I was ready to give up in finding an ideal diffusion material for
my 2 1/4 viewer. Items previously recommended were either only available in
large quantity orders, too dense, or not diffused enough.
Finally I found exactly what I was looking for in what I thought was the
most unlikely place: the SUPERMARKET !

Anyone who wants light diffusion material that is cheap, easy to find, and
extremely easy to size, all you have to do is pick up a box of BABY WIPES !
It's not the baby wipes of course, it's the BOX they come in. For $ 2.99 CDN
at Safeway, I found the Truly Fine brand works great. It's also thin enough
to bend easily, making it also a good reflector material as well. My baby
was also very happy with this purchase.
The second choice is a Rubbermaid Dishpan ( $ 4.99 CDN ) Which is a little
thicker. Both materials offered a very even diffusion with no grain apparent.
With the amount of gas I burned up looking for the right stuff, I could have
keep my baby in Handwipes for quite some time !

Another cheap 3D related find was at a dollar store at a local mall (
Calgary ). Has anyone ever heard of a Chinese Viewmaster copy viewer called
a " CE STEREO VIEWER ? They're absolutely dreadful, but for $ 2.00 it comes
in several colors and 5 reels. The views are NOT stereo, almost look hand
painted, and the viewer hurts your eyes. What fun for just two bucks!
