Desperately needed ASAP:

    A power cord for the Stereomatic 500!

    I have tried all local options for appropriating another type of
extension plug, but aside from direct wiring of installing a new outlet
(not my favorite ideas), nothing fits.

    I am open to other people's ideas or personal experiences.

Jamie,

I use the power cord from my Kirby vacuum cleaner.  It fits perfectly
and is plenty long enough.  Perhaps you can try a vacuum cleaner
sales/repair shop.   I'm sure that this item is available here in Columbus.
