Twin Rig Sale...and more

The twin rig "give-away" for covering shipping (with a little extra to
make my trip to the post office worthwhile) is over. Tim Smith of
TSMITH@xxxxxxxxxx mail address, won the rig with a reduced bid of
$36.30 (10% over the second place bid of $33).

Now that I'm in the mood for ridding myself of items I won't be using
anymore, I have a couple of cameras to offer for sale that are nicer
     than nice .

The first camera is a 3.5 Realist with case for $110. This camera was
my back-up camera (I'm the cautious type) to my well worn and hot shoe
modified 2.8 Realist . When I discovered that I couldn't get the same
quality results with a Steinheil wide angle adapters on 3.5 vs. 2.8
Realists, I found a mintish 2.8 Realist for my main camera and
relegated the older one to back-up status. Hence, the offer to sell
     the 3.5 here.

This camera is the older type without the double exposure prevent
button, modified for flash in two ways. The previous owner filed down
the hot shoe for use with a modern electronic flash. I guess he
wasn't happy with that solution, because he drilled a hole in the top
plate and installed a pc terminal, which is where the flash wire is
now connected. It works fine, too. And if you prefer the hot shoe
rather than the pc terminal, I don't see any reason why disconnecting
the terminal and attaching the wire to the hot shoe wouldn't work.
The camera is cosmetically very nice, with one remediable flaw. The
lens cover has one clip holding it on. The channel in the cover where
the other clip fits is damaged, so it is probably best to take the
cover off and use the camera without it. But here's a couple of other
options: If you're a repair type guy, epoxying in a fine wire for the
clip to bite onto could solve the problem: or, for an additional $15,
I could put one of Zak's uningraved lens covers on the camera - your
     choice.

The other camera is an Iloca II for $215. Again this is a fully
functional, cosmetically nice camera. It has been repaired, cleaned
and adjusted within the past year. Honestly, I haven't run a roll
through it for verification, but I'd be happy to give a "Dr. T
Warranty" for the purchaser - return for refund within 45 days if not
happy with it. The reason I personally like this camera is for the
self-timer built into it. My friends never appreciated those arm
length Realist self portraits. But now I have one of those screw on
self timers for my Realist and have an Iloca to sell.

If interested, contact me off list, please.

     Allan
