Single-lens Stereo

At the recent Ft. Worth stereo get-together Alan Lewis (Arlington, TX)
passed around samples of single-lens stereo. He also showed his taking
lens. He had cut apart the filters from a pair of anaglyph glasses to make a
split-field (?) filter. Split vertically, red on one side, blue on other
half. This he placed _inside_ his lens, next to the diaphragm. The pictures
were amazing because, without the anaglyph glasses the print looked like a
normal 2D with slightly off-color cast. But for the most part, viewable in
either 2D or 3D.

He said he was able to download instructions and info from the 'web but
couldn't recall the URL. Can anyone be of help here? I would like to try
this on SLR and 8mm Video, though there may be parameters of which I am
ignorant, making video impractical.

PS: Please post to me personally, even if you post this to the list. The
enormous size of these daily digests means having to read them in WRITE and
it's so time consuming that I'm still backed-up reading through April 15!

Thanks,
Robert <Linnstaedt@xxxxxxx>
