This is a good idea, but no substitute for swapping or sharing
slides. In my own case I has pretty much stopped looking at people's
3d web photos for a few reasons: my computer monitor is monochrome
so unless the photo was black and white it will usually look poor
on my screen. (This obviously eliminates anaglyphs for me too.)

The second problem is image size: many images show up too wide
on my monitor to wide eye free view. Often there is no cross-eyed
view, but if there is the image seems really small (in 3d) because
with crossed eyes I feel I am focusing very close (thus the object
must be small).

Compared to a Realist slide (or other "original" like a print)
a computer screen has very poor resolution and is thus grainy
(or pixel-ly) especially when viewed in 3d.

Overall I would say the web is no substitute, even if I had
a colour monitor.

The above are all my opinions only, so no flames yet.

Now for some positives: I like web photos for technical things.
A 3d photo of the viewer someone built or slidebar or whatever
can be very valuable. It is also nice (IMO) to know what someone
looks like, so a web page with self portraits would great.
If I submitted my self portrait which shows me and my twin
Ricohflex's then the next time I talk about them someone can
go to Dan's page and see me, my cameras, and how my slidebar
looks.

Swapping and sharing of photos: I presently share
my slides with local friends (non-3d'ers), my brother Pat who
is a 3d'er and a few people from photo 3d. I don't think I
would swap slides with someone unless it was planned in advance
so that I could take 2 or 3 shots of things I though would turn
out. For photos I've already taken, I wouldn't want to give the
good ones away because I only have the one, and the less good
ones aren't good enough to give away.

To summarize: I would join the photo-3d web as far as submitting
a self portrait or equipment shots of things I have built to help
others trying to build the same. I already share slides and have
enough partners already. I might consider swapping someday, but
it would have to be planned shots so that I could take multiples.
