Hello everybody,
I am new on the net, also new on your mailing list.
I happened to know about the Japanese local market has a W-VHS system,
originally design to record in hdtv for home use , for example, the JVC
 HR-W1, they all have a SD mode for recording simultaneously two S-VHS
signal together, or the HD mode , of course, the one HDTV signal. 
I hope this might open another window to your discussion.
