I had followed the consumer HDTV news for a few years here in Hong Kong,
the Victor (JVC) HR-W1 listed price at yen620,000 had dropped price to
yen 350,000 about US$ 3,500.- in local discount stores of Japan, a few
of them had made their way to Hong Kong, too.

The SD mode , a new mode only found on the format of W-VHS , can record
simultaneouly two high quality S-VHS signals , of course, you need to 
use the new W-VHS tape as well, all normal VHS tapes can be used in the 
same machine. Luminous signal is 13.3Mhz. The weight is 16.2 Kg.
