Protective Filters

Recently someone had asked me exactly what a skylight filter was. As I
explained to them that it was used to reduce the bluishness of photos
taken in shady areas and on cloudy days, I also stated that I always use
either a skylight or uv haze on all of my SLR lenses. It was then that I
realized that I do not use any filters on my stereo cameras.

My question is: does anyone use protective filters on their old stereo
cameras, or are most people like me and just never get around to finding
any? I would be interested (and perhaps embarrassed) to find out.
