Silver Screens

Folks,

I thought I'd mention that B&H Photo-Video in NYC has Da-Lite "Picture
King" projection screens available with the "Super Wonderlite" (silver)
coating, at much lower prices than a certain mail-order catalog company
(e.g. $147.95 for the 60"x60" silvered version).

They also have StaticMaster brushes.

I've ordered both these products. Aside from that I have no connection
with them, with Da Lite, or with StaticMaster (is it really necessary to
say that?).

Also, the last batch of slides I mounted I used my ZeroStat and a can
of compressed gas. It worked *very* well. In some cases I could
literally see the dust jumping off the film chip when I hit it with the
ZeroStat. A brush is still needed for the slides that come pre-spotted
from the processor, and I'm looking forward to trying the StaticMaster.

The only downside of the ZeroStat is that it is one more thing to pick
up and put down during the mounting process, which makes it take longer
than it already does.
