Hello and view master ?'s

Hello to my new comrades.

Once again an interest I thought quirky turns out to have a devoted and 
knowledgable interest group.  

My name is Gerard Menendez and my friend and I have been thinking about
viewmaster reels.  We recently made some stereo pairs for an art project 
and want to do more.  Sometimes we used both our cameras screwed to a 
board and sometimes we just slid the one camera sideways to take both 
images.  We made a viewer for the slides that some here would roll their 
eyes at I'm sure but it worked for what we needed.

Now we want to make some viewmaster reels.  We'll have a little money to 
spend on equipment in the next few months ($500.00 or so).  However,
since we  would like to do 3d stuff beyond this immediate viewmaster 
project we need to learn what system will allow us to do quality work 
in other formats..  If anyone can point me to some ViewMaster FAQ's (how 
to make, not how to collect) I'll appreciate it.
