Re: 1050's mounting



          As I'm sure some on the list know of - there were
          semi-automated, (about as "automatic" as the TDC projector
          "Selectron" slide changer) stereo cutting/mounting devices
          in the 50's.  Someone on the Gamma folio circulated a slide
          of a complex cutting/sorting machine made by Kodak that was
          sold to film processing labs back then. It still works,
          except the blade was too dull.  The Lutes cutter and sorter
          was sold to camera owners, though I don't think it worked
          too well, either. In a word, there was no automated
          alignment and mounting that I know of back then (and as
          now!).
