re:cutting mirrors



I'm not sure if anyone answered this yet, but to cut glass use a steel or carbide wheel cutter, not a single diamond point. Shoot a little WD40 into the wheel, and go to it. Use just enough pressure to make a line, don't press too hard. Glass even 1/4" thick will part easily with this technique. The oil is the secret, it should have low viscosity.
I've been cutting glass, a little, for 30 years, and when I was shown this trick I was totally amazed.
