  I also survive without a meter. I usually get good results using
the guide from the inside of a film box (for the speed of film
you are using naturally :)

  Don't know. But I am semi-kicking myself for not buying the one
from your Big Sale. (Just wasted a roll of 120 format Velvia doing
closeup flash shots that were all underexposed. There were multiple
reasons but a flash meter would have helped with some of the
problems.)
