Macro Stereo Beamsplitter lens

I have a Macro stereo beamsplitter lens for my pentax, and I am having a
problem getting proper exposure.

The lens fills the frame with an object the size of a fly, and has to be used
strictly with a flash. My question is how do I figure the flash power setting
to give me a proper exposure. I do not have any information on the lens or
the non-adjustable F stop it is set to. The lens was handmade in Holland.

Anyone have any ideas on how to go about finding the correct flash setting?

Thanks,

Wolfgang Sell
