Powers Trick Photo attachment

The Powers Trick photo attachment is essentially a small matte box. It has
five separate large masks, and one small mask. These hang on a holder that
is secured to the camera via the tripod mount. By interchanging the masks,
you can take fractional image stereo exposures. For example you can have
one object in one area of your stereo image, then change the masks and
shoot a different object in another area of your image. By doing double,
triple (or more) exposures, you can build a complex stereo image within a
single Realist format stereo pair.

The original Powers attachment was made of thick black plastic-- it
appears to be styrene. Most of the masks on the original I examined showed
signs of failure-- the plastic was starting to break down. I suspect this
is one of the reasons they're so scarce.

Basically, the device is a toy for photo experimenters.

Hope that answers people's questions.
