Recently there have been several postings about 6x6 Sputnik stereos.
6x6 cm is the nominal dimension of only one half of the pair.  The
real, *official* name of this format is 6 x 13 cm.
I can prove it!  See DIN (Deutsche Industrie Norm) 4531, Blatt 2,
issued in Berlin, 1971.  This gives the specs for "approved" stereo
formats.  It's *official*!
