Here's the info I received several years ago from Don Balmer on the VM 
condensers:

The lenses are 23 mm in diameter with a focal length of 33 mm and are 
plano-convex. These are available from Edmund Scientific, 101 E. 
Glouceter Pike, Barrington NJ 08007-1380. Phone 609-573-6250

The Edmund stock number is P30,525 and the cost is (was) $9.00 each + 
postage.
