Re FED projectors
The Widescreen Centre of the UK wrote that the FED" projectors can no
longer brought into the EC and sold without a lot of work on the electrics
to pass the new EC regs. on elecromagnetic emissions. In force since 1st
January 1996.
I would like to now a little more about this as I have two projectors
bought before this date. The only problem I new of with them is the fact
that they are 220 volts and can be run on our 240 but as they come are not
earthed which I corrected myself. The bulbs seem impossible to come by but
I am reluctant to convert to 24 volt as my original intention in buying two
of them was to convert to a stereo dissolve set up using the FEDS own
dissolve circuits for mono dissolve.
Do these electromagnetic emissions mean that I canot use my projectors at
all in there present state. Is this part of the health scare on
elecromagnetic emissions or is there danger of interfering with radio
broadcasts.
