Can any of the list members, perhaps the European members, shed any light on
this autostereoscopic presentation method, devised by Francois Savoye in
France?
It is written up in an old "British Journal Photographic Almanac" (1953).
It is a device apparantly sold in the early '50's by the Etablissements A.
Mattey, of Paris.
The description says it is based on the old grid systems. The grid takes the
form of a truncated cone which is made to revolve at a fairly fast speed
round the screen on which the images are to be projected. In this manner the
grid becomes invisible, no flicker. Reference is made to the "breath taking
reproduction of the original scene in full color".
Can anyone help with more details of this method?
