I have no connection with S & D Enterprises but am posting this for Dennis
Sherwood, he does not have internet access.

Dennis writes
"As many of you already know, the dies used to stamp out the normal, medium and
close-up masks are either worn out or obsolete.  Most stereographers who choose
to use a precision mount do so because they want to be able to reposition the
film pair for the best stereo effect. A new design for the EMDE stereomounts has
been selected and a very skilled toolmaker has been found for the job.  However
the expense for the new dies and equipment repair has been estimated at $10,000.
If EMDE is to continue, new money must be found.............However if the
necessary funds cannot be raised, I have reluctantly decided to discontinue
production and close up EMDE"  the existing dies would have to me melted down
according to tax laws.
The new design has 4 tabs per chip for better adjustment.
