Right to the left of the left lens you'll see a spike sticking up from the
top of the lens assembly. That is an obsolete ASA bayonet flash
connecter. You can find a relatively inexpensive adapter (less than
$20, less than $10 if you're lucky) that will convert ASA to the more
modern PC plug. (Is PC obsolescent? My father bought a Canon
flash recently for his flat cameras and it didn't have a PC plug)
Then, to attach the flash to the camera you use a standard bracket, and
use a PC cord to connect the flash to your camera.
I can hear you asking, "where do I find this stuff". If you don't
have a bracket, I believe Reel-3D sells one, but you can probably find
nicer ones in any decent used camera shop. The ASA/PC adapter may be a
bit trickier to find. Reel-3D has had them on and off, as have other 3D
specialists. You can use the products listing to find the people who selll
cameras, and ask them if they have any. You may be able to find
one at an ordinary camera shop that specializes in older material. I
got mine at that type of store.
In response to your other general questions about the Kodak, I'd have the
camera looked at by someone who knows Kodaks. Kodaks are notorious for
shutter problems. My shutter speeds were running about 1/2 what was
marked on the camera before I had mine tuned up. Also, the focus of the
lenses on my camera was out of sync. Considering the problems it had,
I'm surprised that any of the shots on my first roll are viewable.
I also found it difficult to keep the camera steady when using the
camera's shutter release, so I always use a cable release now, though YMMV.
Enjoy your Kodak. I could make a snide comment about the superiority of
the Kodak now, but that'd only create trouble. ;)
