Realist Problem?

My Realist tends to put the pictures too close together. The middle 
two always slightly running over each other about  1/16 - 1/8 inch. 
Is this supposed to happen? (I don't think so!).
Isn't there any way to adjust it so that this doesn't happen?
If so, please tell me how.  I'm very adept with tools ;-)
