Repairing projector bulb base?

The Compco Triad projector that I just bought here in Rochester (at an
excellent price) has one of its bulb holders broken. It looks like it should
be a very simple repair to replace that part of the bayonet mount. I think
that I should just be able to glue the piece of metal back into place,
perhaps soldering it to make sure that the electrical connection is good.
Should I be concerned about heat at the base of the bulb, or will any good
superglue or epoxy be good enough to hold the bulb mount in place?

[Message typed in Rochester, but the local access number doesn't seem to
work, so this won't be sent for another two days].
[Harry Poster recommends 2-part epoxy. Any other opinions? What about the
electrical connection? If I solder it, will the heat of the bulb melt the
solder?]
