I like the idea of LV because it's easy for me. However, what if we had
East and West conventions, as we more or less do now, but have them in the
middle of each locale? In other words, have it in Saint Louis one year
and Salt Lake the next. I'm thinking geographical distances here, but
on the other hand, maybe it's better to go by airline hubs, I don't know.
The object is to make it convenient for one half every other year but not
too inconvenient for the other half. On the other other hand, 8-) maybe we
ought to look at the demographics of stereophiles. What you do is find
the geographic center of mass of all NSA members and then draw a line of
longitude through it and that splits the country. Then you find the
geographic centers of mass for each half of the country and that's where
you hold the convention on alternating years.
