Lenticular topics...
Hi Elliot...
>Also, re Eric's post, the acrylic cover of the Tribe Called Quest cd had
>*vertical* lenticules needed for true 3D.
There's also a version of the TCQ cd that's a horizontal lenticular with
changing colors and animation. It doesn't work quite as well as the
stereoscopic one. The album, which I have now, is very good (caveat: if you
like that sort of thing, I happen to have all the TCQ albums anyway.)
>Looks like a trend is developing...
It actually makes sense in this case (no pun intended.) It doesn't seem like
it's too much more expensive (on the production end, anyway) than making a
regular old jewel case, once you have the software to combine the photos/art.
Also In other lenticular topics, I recently found a flea-market Nimslo and it
seems to work fine, but I'd like to fix it for double-exposure to do
flickers, hypers, etc. as recently mentioned. The Reel 3-D book says
something like "Cut out a 1/4" * 3/4" notch at the bottom left of the plastic
lens surround, and the shutter cocking lever will become visible," however,
it's not really clear what this means. Where do I cut? What do I cut with?
The diagrams make it seem like the cock is somewhat _below_ the lens
surround.
