slides vs prints

For what it's worth, I started my 3D adventure using two cameras and
shooting slide film. Why? Because the dual 2x2 slide viewer from Reel 3D
was rather inexpensive (under $5.00?), I had two 35mm cameras with 55mm
lenses and we have a 1 hour slide developing lab in the area. So, it was
pretty much an easy choice for my first attempt at 3D.

Now, I tend to use cheap disposable cameras mounted to an "L" shaped board
I fabricated and get prints back. Why? Well, thanks to the generosity of
Tim Klein (who's name I haven't seen grace these pages in _SOME_ time!),
I'm now the proud owner of a View Magic over/under print viewer. I like
this a little better because it's easier to present to people.

I still like slides because (IMHO) I feel the colors are more vibrant and
with the little hand viewer I feel immersed in the scene.

Oh, in addition to the dual camera rigs I've used in the past I've also
got some excellent results with a single SLR and the "weight shift
method". So, use whatever film you feel comfortable with and have a GREAT
time. After all, that's what it's all about.

Regards,
Ron
