3-D Movies

There were three movies shown in Cincinnati last month, all with polarizers.
 Two color (Dial M for Murder and House of Wax) and one B&W (The Mad
Magician).  I was too young (infant) in the 50's to remember 3-D movies but
my big brother, who is 13 years older than me, remembers seeing them in the
polarized version (non the
red/blue format).

Perhaps a quick check of the book "Amazing 3D" will shed light on this
subject?
