Many excellent photographers are pursuing 3D photography as a solitary
activity, without benefit of a support group. They reinvent techniques
and equipment. They can go years without meeting another photographer
with similar interests. When they do, they may 'misuse' terminology,
because they have not the frequent opportunity to discuss their interest.

If approached in a kinder manner, many of these photographers will share
stunning images. Since they weren't a member of the cognoscenti, they
experimented and played and explored to test boundaries.
