Definitions

Like I said before I agree with everything you mentioned.
I would like to add two things thou. The academics use alot of
terms rather loosely also. Not only that, but as it advances 
it gets more specialized and different disciplines will borrow
terminalogy to suit their own purposes. So to a computer 
scientist,  bug will mean something completely different than
to a epidemiologist, or to a entomologist. So why can't the lay
people have their own terminalogy also. 
  
How do they use terms loosely. Well for example light used to
be defined as visible light, and it still is in general usage
but it has been broadened to include uv and infra-red light.
These are profesional people we are talking about.
So how can we expect members in 3d to get it right. Of course
most of us do it for a hobby, so good luck to all you experts 
in trying to steer us right, or was that starboard. ;-)) 

Now to get this relevent to 3d, what would I tell my wife the 
photograph I took in 3d of the "stuff" over the boiling water is?
