lenticular screens, flip flops

This is a newbie question. I would like to experiment with producing 3D
images which are viewed through a laminated lenticular screen, also flip
flop animated scenes which I understand uses a different type of screen.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction where I can find out how
to calculate the image displacements and the optical theory behind the
process. Thanks.
