V.M. interocular distance

Are there a variety of interocular distances used in the Viewmaster viewers?
Is the distance between the oculars a standard, or are there different sizes
for children (interpupillary distance can be about 45 mm,) and for various
adults (I have read that there is wide variation between races, with native
Hawaiians having the widest spaced eyes, up to the low 80s mm range.)
It has seemed curious to me that Tyco markets Viewmasters to children, when
there are no children who can see both images in the few models I have seen,
with adult-spaced oculars.
